NYACK CENTER BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION
& MLK ORATORY CONTEST
Nyack Center will host its annual Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratory Contest, which has been part of Nyack Center’s Black History Month Celebration for the past eleven years, will take place in two phases: Phase 1 –Saturday, February 7th at 4:30pm: contestants will present his/her speech to a panel of judges who will rate and determine the finalists with the top 3 scores. Phase 2 –Later the same evening, Saturday, February 7th at 7 pm, during the annual Black History Month program. All contestants will be introduced, given certificates of participation, and at that time, the 3 finalists will be announced. The finalists will deliver their speech during the program and judges will rate each to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners who will be announced at the end of the program.

Nyack Center's Women of Leadership & Vision Brunch is on March 11, 2023 at 10am at Nyack Center. Doors open at 9:30am. Please join us as we celebrate women of leadership & vision in our community.
